Students will be exploring their individually chosen theme. They will be creating artwork using a variety of media in experimental ways. Concepts and meaningful ideas will be developed with the support of in depth research.
The work will be presented in a written Personal Study of between 1000-3000 words. In addition to a body of practical artwork which fulfills the Personal Investigation.
Written feedback will also be provided by peers and teaching staff where appropriate to support progress and reporting.
Work will be assessed against the 4 AQA assessment objectives resulting in a grade A*-E.

Students are encouraged to explore ideas and concepts of interest to them. They will discuss and share ideas; thus gaining a greater understanding of themselves as well as the people and the world around them. Being able to express themselves & their ideas through their art, gives them the opportunity to have a personal opinion and express this.
Students learn to discuss, share and express their ideas and opinions in considered and respectful ways. Student gain a deeper understanding of the world and people around them.
