Another Year of Outstanding A Level Results at Becket Keys

 

It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Approach your studies with diligence and devotion, as if you were working for God himself. By doing your best and putting forth your total effort, you can honour God and serve him in your academic pursuits.

Becket Keys Church of England School students and staff are celebrating an excellent set of exam results; with average grades better than pre-COVID levels and more students getting top grades and being accepted at their first-choice university.

The school has students heading off to a wide range of interesting and prestigious destinations. Below are a few examples:

William Endacott achieved two A* grades and one A grade in English Literature, History and Politics. He    also achieved an Extended Project Qualification A*. William will be studying Law at the University of York.

Danilo De Vito achieved two A* grades and one A grade in Art, Psychology and Biology. Danilo will be studying Fine Art at Loughborough.

Noah Connelly achieved one A* grade and two A grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. Noah will be studying Robotics Engineering at the University of Bath.

Evelyn Knight achieved one A* grade and two A grades in English Literature, History and Spanish. Evelyn will be studying Liberal Arts at the University of Manchester.

Alex Miller achieved one A* grade and two A grades in Psychology, Biology and Art. Alex will be studying Biological Sciences at Queen Mary University of London.

Sebastian Lavin Rady achieved three A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Sebastian will be studying Computer Science (software engineering) at the University of Sheffield.

Olli Uche-Igbokwe achieved three A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. Olli will be studying Pharmacology at the University of Nottingham.

Emelie Dillane achieved three A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Geography. Emelie has an apprenticeship with Robert McAlpine in London.

Eleanor Francis-Dehqani achieved three A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. She also achieved an Extended Project Qualification A*. Eleanor is deciding whether to study Criminology at the University of Durham or the University of Belfast.

Thomas Archer achieved one A grade and two B grades in Mathematics, Chemistry and Music. He will be studying Music Technology and Production at the London Metropolitan University.

Charles Warren achieved 2 A grades and one B grade. Charles has been offered Psychology at the University of Surrey, but is considering his options.

George Porter achieved two A* and one B. George will be studying Psychology at the University of Surrey.

Head Boy, Tobias Hancox, achieved two A grades and two B grades in Design Technology, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. Tobias will be studying Automotive Engineering at Loughborough University.

Other exciting destinations include:

Head Girl, Lili Fisher-Hope is taking a gap year. This will include working on a turtle conservation project in Zanzibar. She will then be studying Aerospace engineering at the University of the West of England, Bristol.

Finley Trinder has deferred his university place to take a gap year in Uganda and Zanzibar, to further his interest in marine biology.

Mr Scott-Evans (Headteacher) said: “I am delighted to see another cohort of students flourish at Becket Keys. I am very proud of our school community. It was a wonderful atmosphere in school today as we celebrated with another very successful year group.”

Mrs Downs (Chair of Governors) said: “Our students are much more than a grade or university place! They are all exceptional, inspiring and wonderful young people and we could not be prouder of them.”

Mr Colin Mackinlay (Russell Education Trust) said: “Congratulations to the 2023 Cohort at Becket Keys. These results represent your excellent character and hard work. They also reflect the outstanding support and teaching you have received at school. We are all very pleased to see you doing so well today.”

Jemima Cheke (Student) said: “Thank you to Becket Keys for your help and guidance over the last seven years. I could not have asked for a better secondary school experience. I will miss it.”
